WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS 10/11/24

“WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” gets us started and then Michael Cole welcomes us inside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. He runs down the two title matches scheduled for tonight’s show and introduces a video package recapping the action in the main event of WWE Bad Blood 2024.

Jimmy Uso Kicks Off This Week’s Show

Inside the arena, the theme for Jimmy Uso hits and the crowd explodes as he makes his WWE television return following his surprise return in the WWE Bad Blood 2024 main event. Uso vs. Solo Sikoa is announced for later tonight.

Uso talks briefly about how it feels good to be back and says he’s been waiting to say this. He then says “Welcome to Friday Night SmackDown.” He mentions being on the shelf because of his brother, Solo. He says he and his crew didn’t take him out face-to-face, however.

“The Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns Joins Jimmy Uso

Uso says he plans on doing what he’s done his whole life to Solo, and that’s kick his ass. As he continues talking, the theme for “The Original Tribal Chief” hits and out comes Roman Reigns to a big crowd reaction. Reigns has everyone join him in acknowledging “Big Jim.”

Reigns also brings up how he isn’t the one who lays things out. He’s not The Wise Man. He’s The Tribal Chief. He says he called his shots and delivered and they had it all. They had everyone fearing them and all the championships and money you could want.

He takes a breath and says he doesn’t like where we’re at right now. He doesn’t like being out of position and out of control. He says he’s the greatest of all-time and he meant it. When they step into these arenas, he wants ya’ll to know, the G.O.A.T.’s are here. When they put the 1s up, he wants us to know that they are the 1s.

Uso chimes in, “Yah, but we’re not though.” Fans chant “Yes you are! Yes you are!” Uso says “How?!” He says he stands in this ring and sees a Chief without a Tribe. He says he came back at Bad Blood because Reigns needed him. He needed help. He tells Reigns they need help. Fans chant “YEET!”

He says he knows one person that they can get some help from. Reigns looks around at the crowd wildly chanting “YEET! YEET!” Reigns says, “No YEET!” Uso says right now he’s the only one in the family who acknowledges him. He walks off and Reigns looks lost in thought. We head to another commercial break.

WWE United States Championship
LA Knight (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes

When the show returns from the break, we see a recap package of legends at WWE Bad Blood 2024 and then return inside the arena, where Carmelo Hayes’ theme hits. Out he comes for our first of two title matches scheduled for tonight’s show.

After he settles in the ring, the radio screech hits and “The Mega Star” arrives. LA Knight head to the ring for his scheduled defense of the WWE United States Championship. The crowd is into Knight big in Greenville.

After highlights are shown from AJ Styles-Hayes from last week, which included Knight hitting a BFT on Hayes, the bell sounds and Knight-Hayes gets underway. We see Hayes start off strong, but he notices Andrade at ringside and Knight takes over as we head into a mid-match commercial break.

As we settle back in from the break, we see Knight hit an awesome double jump elbow drop off the top-rope for a close two-count. In the end, Knight counters a move by Hayes for a BFT to retain his U.S. title. Andrade gets in Hayes’ face at ringside after the match and taunts him.

Winner and STILL WWE United States Champion: LA Knight

Kevin Owens Crashes Show, Microphone Gets Cut Off & Hell Breaks Loose

Backstage, Jimmy Uso is shown walking with a t-shirt in his hand, when he notices Cody Rhodes. They have a brief exchange and Uso gives Cody respect for handling business on his own lately. Cody warns Jimmy that Solo isn’t the same guy as when he left.

From there, we kick it to a message from NXT duo Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, who talk about their upcoming WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championship opportunity against reigning title-holders Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. That match is up next. We head to another break.

When we return, the entrances for the challengers take place, but as they are coming out, Kevin Owens rolls into the ring from the crowd. He gets on the microphone and says he was asked not to come here tonight, but that is crap. His mic gets cut off.

Owens rolls out and puts on a headset on commentary and tries to continue explaining that even though people think he turned on Cody, it was Cody who turned on him. Security and Nick Aldis runs down, as does Randy Orton to stop Cody Rhodes, who is trying to get at Owens.

Orton ends up losing his cool dealing with Owens in the ring and blasts him with a big shot. Owens looks stunned that Orton did that. Orton looks like he regretted doing it. We head to another commercial break.

WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships
Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair (c) vs. Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend

When we return, we take-two and Jackson and Legend are making their ring entrance. WWE NXT World Champion Trick Williams is shown in the ring, which elicits a “Whoop that Trick!” chant from the Greenville fans in attendance. Piper Niven and Chelsea Green are shown watching on at ringside.

Jade Cargill’s theme hits and out comes one-half of the tag champs. Her music dies down, Bianca Belair’s entrance tune hits and out comes the reigning and defending WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions for their latest title defense.

Legend and Jackson ambush Cargill and Belair to kick things off. Jackson starts things off with Belair and tags in Legend, who hoists Belair up and Donkey Kong’s her into the mat with authority for a two-count. Jackson tags back in and the two hit a double team spot on Belair for another two-count.

On the floor, Chelsea Green gets involved and gets knocked over the commentary desk for her efforts. Cole and Graves make bad jokes about Green somehow still stinking from her Dumpster Match a week ago. This action on the floor leads to Cargill taking over in the ring and getting the quick pin for the win.

Winners and STILL WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions: Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair

Nia Jax vs. Naomi

We see Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton walking backstage before we head to a commercial break. When we return, we see Randy Orton and Nick Aldis pleading with Cody Rhodes to get on his tour bus and leave. Orton says he’ll pull Owens aside and talk to him. Aldis jokes that Orton is the voice of reason.

Back inside the arena, Nia Jax’s theme hits and out she comes with Stratton. Jax spoke about her first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Women’s Championship showdown against WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and how she’s going to beat her in Saudi Arabia.

She then spoke about how after she beats her to become the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Women’s Champion, it will then be Stratton’s time to cash-in her Ms. Money In The Bank briefcase and beat Morgan for her title.

As the promo segment continued, Naomi came out and challenged Jax to a match on the spot, but not before Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez came out. Morgan addressed Jax’s comments before the three took a seat at ringside to watch the Jax-Naomi bout.

Jax immediately starts dominating from the word go. She sends Naomi into the ring post from inside the ring with authority. She Donkey Kong’s her on the floor in front of Morgan and taunts Morgan before taking the action back in the ring. We head into a mid-match break as the bout continues.

When we return, Stratton gets upset when he Money In The Bank briefcase is taken by Rodriguez as she was trying to hit Naomi. Naomi decks Stratton and then Rodriguez hops on the apron to distract the ref. This allowed Morgan to hit Jax on the middle rope with the briefcase. Naomi hits a power bomb off the ropes to Jax and covers her for the win. Rhea Ripley then came out and laid out Rodriguez, before beating down Morgan in the ring.

Winner: Naomi

Kevin Owens With Another Parking Lot Attack To A Second Victim

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes complains to Nick Aldis about his match with LA Knight and Andrade getting involved. Aldis makes Hayes-Andrade 7, with the winner earning a shot at the WWE United States Championship. In comes Legado del Fantasma complaining.

Aldis gives them a chance at gold if they can prove themselves by beating a team that will make it clear they are worth it. They’re happy and walk off. Aldis says they might not be when they find out who that team is. A new vignette airs next teasing the debut of the Motor City Machine Guns for next week’s show.

Aldis confirms that a new team is coming next week while talking backstage with a bunch of teams after the vignette aired. As he continues talking, he runs and the camera follows him. He calls for help as we see Kevin Owens in the middle of a savage beatdown of Randy Orton.

Solo Sikoa vs. Jimmy Uso

It’s main event time!

Inside the arena, Solo Sikoa’s theme hits and out he comes accompanied by other members of The Bloodline, as he prepares for our main event of the evening against Jimmy Uso. As he settles in the ring, we shift gears and head into a quick pre-match commercial break.

When we return, after Michael Cole accidentally says Kevin Dunn instead of Kevin Owens when recapping action earlier, and then we head into the music video package for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre inside Hell In A Cell from WWE Bad Blood 2024.

Back live, Jimmy Uso’s theme hits and out he comes alone for our final match of the show. The bell sounds and we hear Solo during a staredown with Jimmy telling him he’s his Tribal Chief just like he is everyone else’s Tribal Chief.

They continue to jaw and finally Jimmy decks him and the fight is on. Uso knocks Solo out to the floor and hits a suicide dive through the ropes. He then goes for a high spot in the ring, but Solo catches him with a counter shot. He yells at him that he’s not his little brother anymore.

Jacob Fatu gets in a cheap shot on him and Solo continues to work him over while yelling and taunting his older brother. Solo knocks Uso out to the floor and we see Jacob bulldoze through Uso, turning him inside-out. Solo gets on the ropes and taunts the crowd as we head into a mid-match commercial break.

When we return, we see some more back-and-forth action until ultimately interference from The Bloodline leads to Solo hitting the Samoan Spike for the win.

Winner: Solo Sikoa

The New Bloodline Beats Down Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso

After the match, The Bloodline all beat down Uso in the ring. Roman Reigns’ theme hits and “The Original Tribal Chief” runs down and cleans house of Jacob, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. He is left alone in the ring with the new Tribal Chief.

Fans chant “OTC!” and then Reigns and Solo collide. Jacob Fatu attacks Reigns from behind. Fatu hits a big hip splash on Reigns in the corner. Jimmy Uso hits the ring but runs into a super kick from Jacob Fatu. Fatu hits a big splash off the top.

Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa return to the ring and beat down Uso and Reigns. They hold Reigns and Solo blasts him with a Samoan Spike. The new Bloodline exits the ring and stands tall at ringside looking back at Reigns and Uso laid out as this week’s show comes to a close. Thanks for joining us!
