TNA Wrestling’s parent company Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions filed to trademark the “Santino Marella” name with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) last September 19, however PWInsider.com reports WWE has requested a 90-day extension to oppose the trademark despite both promotions being in a working relationship over the past few months.
Marella competed in the WWE for 11 years before making the move to TNA, where he is currently works as an on screen Director of Authority.
