WWE held an NXT live event in Lakeland, FL, on Friday night, during which one NXT wrestler made his in-ring debut.
Roxanne Perez defended the Women’s Title against Tatum Paxley, while Oba Femi retained the North American Title against Eddy Thorpe.
Brayden Ray made his in-ring debut at the event after signing with WWE last month. Before joining WWE, he wrestled for Duke University and Cal State Bakersfield. He also appeared in the recent Roku docuseries ‘WWE: Next Gen.’
On Tuesday night’s NXT, Ray, also known as Sexy BJ Ray, was a cocky heel who was involved in a backstage brawl with Karmen Petrovic after calling her a smokeshow.
At the live event, he and Javier Bernal lost a tag team match to Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont.
