WWE will air a new episode of SmackDown tonight from Green Bay, WI, at the Resch Center, with two big names in town.
As WWE prepares to tape next week’s episode tonight, the show will be the final live episode of SmackDown in 2023, with no episode scheduled for December 29.
WWE has already announced that two US Title Contenders tournament matches will take place tonight, with Grayson Waller facing Carmelo Hayes and Kevin Owens facing Austin Theory.
In addition, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is set to return to continue his storyline with Randy Orton. WWE appears to be preparing them for a match at the Royal Rumble next month.
PWInsider reports that NXT stars Axiom and Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson were both spotted in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this morning, ahead of the show. It is unknown whether they will appear.
Steveson has worked a few NXT house shows since his in-ring debut at the WWE NXT Great American Bash premium live event from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas, where he defeated Baron Corbin.
Axiom has recently worked a few SmackDown matches, including a highly praised match with Dragon Lee.
