WWE NXT Review – April 4, 2023
Kicking off this week’s NXT with a recap of Stand & Deliver from this past Saturday.
Fans chant you deserve it before new Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell says no idea she’s waited to hear that. She says it’s been a few days since she’s become Women’s Champion but she still can’t believe that it’s real. Hartwell says she gave up a long time ago on thinking about what to say when she became title holder because she never thought that she would be one. She says she doubted herself and holding the title was a pipe dream, but the fans never doubted her once and stood by her. She says fans picked her up when she was down and chanted Indi Wrestling when she needed it most, and the outpour of love just makes things that much sweeter. Hartwell acknowledges Roxanne Perez and says if it wasn’t for her, there would’ve never been a ladder match and she wouldn’t be standing here. She then says Perez deserves the 1st shot at the Women’s Title.
Zoey Stark’s music hits and she heads down to the ring. She says she can’t sit in the back and listen to this crap. She says that Hartwell had quite the upset and she has a Women’s Title once held by future Hall Of Famers. She tells Hartwell she is nowhere near their level, and says Perez has been radio silent since losing her Women’s Title on Saturday. Stark says Perez should be behind her in line to receive a Women’s Title shot then demands that she be given one tonight.
Hartwell says she wants to see how beatable she is during the 1st NXT after Stand & Deliver then accepts her challenge. Stark says Hartwell just made the biggest mistake of her life and says she will make history tonight as the shortest reigning Women’s Champion in history.
