WWE recently launched its “WWE ID” program, which will involve several pro wrestling schools and eventually give talents a path to join the company. However, no wrestlers from the European market have been offered “WWE ID” deals yet.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is set to host a tryout in early March as part of its biggest European tour. The tryout will be held in London and will specifically target talent from the United Kingdom and Europe.
Wrestlers from wXw, OTT, and PROGRESS Wrestling are expected to participate. Several top stars from the UK Indie circuit, such as Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Damian Corvin, are already on WWE’s radar, as they have been invited to events over the past year.
Several other notable UK talent were unaware of the upcoming tryout when they were told, however WWE mentioned that wrestlers only have until Friday, February 28th to apply for the London tryout.
