WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) appeared on an episode of Busted Open Radio, where he talked about a number of topics including how he wants to see AEW succeed and thrive.
Ray said, “The overwhelming majority of anyone who earns a living within the pro wrestling business wants to see AEW succeed, and are not trying to stop it. Most — like myself — would like to see it improve on all levels and thrive.”
On how many people are able to earn a living as part of AEW:
“There are a lot of people in AEW right now, whether they are veterans or younger wrestlers, who would not have the option of going to the WWE if it wasn’t for AEW.”
On why he’s grateful for AEW:
“Man, I thank God for AEW. I really do. You know, I went over there, had a good time, there was days that weren’t good, that I — you know — people I don’t agree with or whatever, but for the most part I learned, and got the opportunity to do things I never got to do in WWE.”
On his belief that Tony Khan is deflecting from internal issues:
“And it’s very easy to rally your fanbase or rally your locker room, and go ‘Everybody hates us, it’s us against the world!’”
