WWE Expanding Global Reach With More Premium Live Events In 2025

WWE has continued its trend of hosting Premium Live Events (PLEs) internationally, a shift that has become increasingly prominent throughout 2024 and will extend into 2025.

This year saw several notable international PLEs, including Elimination Chamber in Australia, Money in the Bank in Canada, Bash in Berlin at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, and Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada. WWE’s ongoing agreement with Saudi Arabia to host two PLEs annually as part of a decade-long deal also adds to the global schedule.

A key factor behind these international events is the site fees paid by host cities to secure the shows. WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Head of Communications, Chris Legentil, emphasized the company’s commitment to international expansion during the Sports Business Journal Sports Media podcast:

“This year alone, we did more than half our [PLEs] outside the U.S. Look for more of that when we’re in partnership with Netflix because we’re going to be working with them hand-in-hand to select locations across the world where we can grow our audience and hopefully gain some subscribers for them.”

The partnership with Netflix, which begins with the debut of Monday Night Raw on the platform in January 2025, is expected to drive WWE’s efforts to tap into global markets even further.

For 2025, WWE has so far announced four PLEs, with March’s Elimination Chamber in Canada currently the only event confirmed to take place outside the United States. Fans can expect additional announcements as WWE and Netflix collaborate to bring major events to new international audiences.
