Xavier Woods was banged up at WWE Monday Night Raw this week.
As noted, The New Day member took to social media earlier this week and wrote about how he will not be medically cleared for next week’s show due to suffering an injury during a chair spot this past Monday night.
“Moments before I had a chair hurled into my face giving me whiplash,” he wrote. “Doctors orders, no wrestling next week. Was pumped to be out there on my birthday but it looks like I’ll be spending it at home next Monday. See yall the week after!”
In an update, WWE has since confirmed the injury news.
“BREAKING: Xavier Woods suffered a cervical strain after getting hit by a chair thrown by Drew McIntyre,” the WWE statement began. “He will miss the upcoming Monday Night Raw.”
