It looks like WWE is going to change how they operate their premium live event business model.
Following the official start of the Endeavor acquisition and merger with UFC to form TKO Group Holding, WWE is expected to change the process of how they book their premium live events.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com that WWE intends to have all cities bid on all of their premium live events going forward, not just the major markets.
In recent years, WWE has started to take bids from cities for shows beyond WrestleMania, including Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Money In The Bank.
Expect more of that going forward.
Apparently the goal is to increase this strategy in the future, starting with 2024. The plan is to have four or five shows get bid on by all cities, and then slowly ramp up to 12 per year that are put together the same way.
