It appears that WWE has signed a wrestler to a contract as the company looks to build on the success that they had in 2023 with record business across all key metrics, including revenue, television ratings, and historic gates for live events.
WWE has already secured deals for NXT on the CW Network and SmackDown on the USA Network. They’ve been able to turn the NXT brand into a hot commodity among fans, which had been lacking for years following the success of the black and gold brand prior to the launch of AEW in 2019.
PWInsider reports that Madi Wrenkowski was at the WWE Performance Center last week and is believed to have signed a WWE NXT contract.
She has worked for promotions such as Mission Pro Wrestling, Hurricane Pro Wrestling, SWE, and others since breaking into the wrestling industry in 2019.
Wrenkowski made her All Elite Wrestling debut on the December 22 episode of AEW Dark by defeating Leyla Hirsch. She’s also appeared on other AEW shows.
Wrenkowski and Missa Kate won the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championships as part of M95. Her most recent NWA match was in August.
