The closing segment of last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw General Manager Nick Aldis tell “The Prize Fighter” Kevin Owens to give up possession of the Winged Eagle Championship. Otherwise, he will not be allowed to compete again in a WWE ring. Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes made his way out. He proposed a Title Unification Ladder Match with Owens at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE, which the SmackDown General Manager agreed to. Owens then attacked both Rhodes and Aldis as the show was coming to a close.
Following the show’s conclusion, Rhodes took the microphone and said he was glad the main event segment between himself, Kevin Owens, and Nick Aldis happened in Tampa. Cody Rhodes then reminded the fans in attendance that Mama Rhodes is from Tampa, then promised that he will beat Owens’ ass at the Royal Rumble.
