WWE hosted its biggest house show of the year on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, delivering a stacked lineup for fans in attendance.
One of the night’s highlights was the first-ever clash between CM Punk and Ludwig Kaiser. This match served as a preview of Punk’s upcoming showdown with Seth Rollins on the January 6 premiere of Raw on Netflix.
In the main event, WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER defended his title against Damian Priest in a brutal steel cage match. GUNTHER emerged victorious, but the drama didn’t end there. After the match, GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Dominik Mysterio launched a post-match assault on Priest. However, CM Punk made a surprise appearance, rushing to the ring wrapped in a towel to even the odds and help Priest fend off the attackers.
Looking ahead, WWE has announced another major event for this Sunday in Chicago, where CM Punk will challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Title in what promises to be an unforgettable showdown.
