As PWMania.com previously reported, Ric Flair was in Andrade El Idolo’s corner and Charlotte was backstage at the AAA TripleMania event on Saturday night.
Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com, who broke the story that Ric Flair was leaving WWE, noted that Flair has no non-compete clause and is free to work anywhere he wants. Giri also wrote the following:
“Wrestling Inc. has learned that Flair did the appearance at no charge. Flair apparently chartered a private jet to make the show, at his own expense.”
In regards to Charlotte being backstage at the event, she had reportedly gotten approval for the time off months in advance. Despite this, Charlotte had been advertised for the WWE live event in Charlotte, NC on Saturday night that she did not appear at.
Ric Flair and Andrade both commented on Flair’s AAA appearance:
We’ll Get You Next Time! WOOOOO! @AndradeElIdolo https://t.co/FcVyu1qmmu
