Davey Boy Smith Jr recently revealed in an interview that his contract with MLW will expire in December.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the problem with his current MLW deal is that it’s an exclusive deal but he’s only paid per appearance. He reportedly has an interest in working for WWE, AEW, and Impact.
It was noted that he hopes that if he signs with WWE he would like to be on NXT UK or the main roster as he believes that since TJ Wilson is a producer now, he won’t be overlooked. MLW recently sent a cease-and-desist to WWE after Smith made an appearance on The Bump.
