NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) recently announced that reigning AEW International Champion Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita will defend his title against NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi at Wrestle Kingdom 19 in a Title vs. Title Matchup and “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii will challenge for both championships at Wrestle Dynasty.
This comes after Takeshita successfully defended his title against Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW Worlds End 2024, which took place this past Saturday night in Orlando, Florida.
