NJPW confirmed two big matches for their New Beginning event on February 11th in Osaka, Japan.
The first of those two matches will see Bryan Danielson taking on Zack Sabre Jr for the first time on Japanese soil.
The two met last September at AEW’s Wrestle Dream event. The American Dragon was victorious that night, winning with the Busaiku Knee. Sabre has maintained that Danielson cannot tap him out and has insisted that he will be the one to do so to Danielson in Osaka, taking the title of the best technical wrestler in the world!
Who will walk out of Osaka the winner, and claim the title of the best wrestler in the world? We will have the answer at NJPW New Beginning!
The second match will be a Ten Man Steel Cage Match in the main event. This will be the first steel cage match on an NJPW main card in 20 years and the first-ever five-on-five steel cage match in New Japan.
At New Year Dash in Sumida on January 5th, recently signed AEW star Will Ospreay declared New Beginning in Osaka his last match as a full-time wrestler on the NJPW roster. Because of this, he wanted to settle everything between the United Empire and BULLET CLUB War Dogs.
Ospreay allowed Finlay to determine the rules for this match, and the new IWGP Global Champion came up with a ‘no rules, no DQ, no way out, & no escape’ steel cage match.
Who will be victorious and standing tall to close the chapter on this vicious feud between the two stables? We will find out on February 11th!
The event will stream live in the US on NJPW World.
