Fightful Select reports that top NJPW star Kevin Knight’s contract with the company expired in early January, making him a free agent. Sources within AEW revealed that Knight had talks with AEW President Tony Khan and Rocky Romero during his recent appearance in ROH.
The report also states that Knight has been in discussions with NJPW about a new deal. However, Knight has expressed interest in signing with WWE, although it remains unclear whether any formal talks between WWE and Knight have taken place.
Since becoming a free agent, Knight has competed with promotions such as MLW, ROH, AEW, GCW, and JCW.
