Top 3 Moments Of TNA Bound For Glory 2024

On Saturday, October 26th, TNA Wrestling returned to the Wayne State Fieldhouse for one of its biggest shows of the year, Bound For Glory. If history is any indication, Bound For Glory has a claim as the biggest TNA pay-per-view of the year coming second to just Slammiversary, and this year’s Bound For Glory was no different.

The main event saw The System’s Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards put their TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line against ABC’s Ace Austin & Chris Bey, and The Hardys. We also saw Masha Slamovich challenge Jordynne Grace for her TNA Knockout Championship, Nic Nemeth put his TNA World Championship on the line against Joe Hendry, and so much more. So, what were the top 3 moments of the show?

3. Nic Nemeth retains the TNA World Championship/John Layfield re-appears

In the second of three main events to close out Bound For Glory, we saw Nic Nemeth put his newly won TNA World Championship on the line against one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling today, Joe Hendry. Frankie Kazarian, who won the “Call Your Shot Gauntlet” earlier in the night served as the special guest referee.

After Hendry got a special “Slim Shady” type of entrance, he and Nemeth put on an incredible match. The fans were very into this match, and loved both competitors, seeming to side with Hendry more. After teasing cashing in his “Call Your Gauntlet” trophy, John Layfield came into the ring and took out Kazarian with a clothesline. But it didn’t stop there.

Layfield landed a huge clothesline on Hendry on the outside and knocked out Ryan Nemeth before leaving through the crowd. Ultimately, Nemeth retained the TNA World Championship after a great match. It remains to be seen where things go with Layfield, but one thing we know is there’s a lot to be excited about on the top of the TNA card.

2. Masha Slamovich ends the reign of Jordynne Grace

In the first of three main events, we saw Jordynne Grace put her TNA Knockouts Championship on the line against her long-time friend, Masha Slamovich. This is a rematch from two years ago where Grace defeated Slamovich to retain her Knockouts Championship. However, this was a much different Slamovich.

Grace was certainly no pushover either as she has been on an incredible run with the title. She is right behind Taya Valkyrie in most successful title defenses with 15. If Grace were able to defeat Slamovich, she would tie Valkyrie’s record which sits alone at 16. This was a fantastic match between two of the top women in TNA today.

Ultimately, after hitting a snowplow from the top rope, and following that up with a piledriver, Slamovich defeats Grace to become the new TNA Knockouts Championship. This was an incredible match, and a must-watch for anyone. Slamovich deserves this title reign, and it remains to be seen where Grace may go from here, but we all have our guesses.

1. The Hardys become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions

The main event of the night saw The System’s Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards put their TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line against ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) and The Hardys in a “Full Metal Mayhem” match. This was going to be a fight between all six men, and that was evident from the get-go.

This match was insane from the beginning. One of the matches coolest moments is when Brian Myers jumped off the ladder and speared Chris Bey in air, similar to the legendary WrestleMania moment where Edge speared Jeff Hardy. That was just one of many moments which stole the show in this match.

Ultimately, Matt and Jeff Hardy climbed the ladder and won the TNA World Tag Team Championships again. This match delivered on every front and it’s going to be a blast to see what The Hardys do with the TNA World Tag Team Championships now that they once again sit a top the TNA tag team mountain top.
