Don’t expect to see the studio wrestling days of yester-year make a popular comeback in the modern scene.
Not if you trust Tony Schiavone’s veteran expertise.
The AEW commentator was asked about the future of studio wrestling on the latest episode of his “What Happened When” podcast.
“No, I don’t, not on the, not on the big stage,” Schiavone said when asked about the possibility of studio wrestling making a comeback. “I don’t think television stations wanna see studio wrestling anymore.”
Schiavone continued, “They wanna see something big, you think? Yeah. So those are gone, I mean, the NWA did it on YouTube, right? So that’s about as far as it’ll go.”
