Earlier this week, it was reported that AEW Dynamite has been averaging around 500,000 weekly viewers on the MAX streaming platform, accounting for approximately 80% of the show’s live cable viewership. When combined with traditional viewership on TBS, the total average per episode rises to an estimated 1 to 1.2 million viewers since Dynamite’s addition to MAX.

During a media call promoting the upcoming AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, AEW President Tony Khan was asked to comment on the report and expressed enthusiasm about the streaming numbers.

“I thought that was a really exciting report for AEW and very consistent with everything we’ve been told,” Khan said. “While the numbers are being kept close to the vest, we’re one of the top sports streaming shows, and that report was consistent with what I’ve heard.”

The integration of AEW programming into MAX marks a significant step in expanding the company’s digital footprint and accessibility. As the platform continues to grow as a home for live sports content, AEW’s presence on MAX could play a major role in reaching new audiences beyond traditional cable.
