TNA Impact Results – January 16, 2025

TNA is back from Atlanta Georgia.

On the card tonight is Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) vs. Eric Young & Steve Maclin. Plus, Sami Callihan & PCO vs. The Hardys. If Sami & PCO had won, they would be added to the tag title match at Genesis.

We will also see what type of carnage Jordynne and Tessa will bring tonight. Also, Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth go face to face before their match at Genesis and so much more.

Commentators: Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt

Trent Seven vs. Leon Slater

Before the match, the Call Your Shot winner, Frankie Kazarian, joins commentary for this match.

RESULTS: Leon Slater defeats Trent Seven via pinfall with the Swanton 450.

After the match, Frankie and Leon have a stare-down.

Ash by Elegance & Heather by Elegance in-ring promo:

The Concierge introduced Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance as the new TNA Knockouts Champions (they are not).

They discovered cutout cardboard of themselves with gold wrapped around them, and they absolutely loved it. Ash and Heather claim to be the New Knockouts Tag Champions.

The REAL TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) comes out!

They destroy the cutouts as they make the match official for Genesis.

Joe Hendry video package:

He claims that Genesis is his chance to get to the top as a montage of former champions like Sting and Kurt Angle. He ended with, “We believe.”

Gia Miller interviewed PCO and Sami Callihan:

She asked about their strategy for tonight’s match. PCO growled. Sami translated and said two monsters would take on two great wrestlers tonight.

He claims there would be chaos! Now, they make it to Genesis. PCO growled again and Sami said that PCO said Gia did a great job.

Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) vs. Eric Young & Steve Maclin

During the match, actor Judd Normand is in the front row. AJ Francis gives him a push, and security breaks it up.

RESULTS: Steve Maclin & Eric Young defeat Fir$t Cla$$ via pinfall with a flying elbow drop on KC.

After the match, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, and Alisha Edwards stood on the stage. They exchanged words with Maclin and Eric.

Confessional:

Rosemary and Masha were side by side in a confessional. Masha said it must have been hard for Rosemary to sit by and see Masha pass her by. Rosemary talked about the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. Little snippets of the match were shown throughout.

Northern Armory promo:

Josh Alexander and the Northern Armory their way to the ring. Alexander claims there is no way Santana could go at Genesis.

OUT COMES SANTANA!

He walked through the crowd and grabbed the mic. Mike claims he was coming for Alexander. Mike mentions how he went through The System by himself, as well as the Northern Armory.

He said he would hit Dallas like a freight train. Mike Santana challenges Josh Alexander to an I Quit match at Genesis.

Alexander accepts the challenge and wants to give Santana as an example. He said Santana would learn that his place is at the bottom of the card.

Santana told Alexander that he would have to look him in the eyes after saying I Quit. Santana wants to be the new standard of TNA.

Loredo Kid vs. Jake Something

RESULTS: Jake Something defeats Loredo Kid via pinfall with a powerbomb off the top rope.

Video:

Ace Austin talks about teaming up with Chris Bey and his injury. His goal is to win back the X-Division Championship from Moose at Genesis.

Non-Title Match: TNA World Tag Team Champions the Hardys (c) vs. PCO and Sami Callihan

RESULTS: The Hardys defeats PCO & Sami Callihan via pinfall with a Swanton Bomb on Sami from Jeff Hardy.

Jordynne Grace & Tessa Blachard

Jordynne Grace crashes the commentary table with her contract for her match with Tessa Blanchard at Genesis. She says that Tessa hasn’t signed it yet but will leave the contract there for her to sign. Jordynne says if she no-shows Genesis, it wouldn’t be the first time.

Joe Hendry and TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth face to face:

Joe says he has to win this match. It was on him to take the title off Nemeth to start a new era for TNA. It would only kick off with him holding the title over Nemeth’s head in victory.

Nemeth understands Hendry’s point, but he reminds him that being a World Champion requires a different lifestyle. Nic is not sure Hendry is ready for this.

He wants to clarify JBL’s involvement at TNA Bound for Glory. Nemeth said anything between John Layfield and himself was JBL’s own business.

He is unhappy that Layfield took Ryan Nemeth’s head off with a lariat. Ryan Nemeth interrupts and reminds Nic that Hendry is not his friend.

He is just trying to manipulate him because Hendry only cares about himself. Ryan Nemeth attacked Joe Hendry, which led to Hendry picking Ryan up.

Nic Nemeth gives a Superkick on Hendry. A confused Nic Nemeth stood tall to end the show.
