Tickets For WWE’s Live Event In Inglewood, California Sold Quickly After CM Punk Was Confirmed

After joining the WWE again, it didn’t take long for CM Punk to work his first match. On Tuesday night in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, he faced off against Dominik Mysterio.

The sold-out event established a new record for the highest-grossing domestic non-televised live event in the company’s history. Punk’s most recent match in WWE was at the 2014 Royal Rumble.

A second Punk match has been scheduled for a WWE live event at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday, December 30th. He has also already stated that he will compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

Punk will also appear on RAW on January 8th in Portland, Oregon, and on RAW again on January 22nd in New Orleans. At this time, no other appearances have been confirmed.

Ticket sales for Saturday’s house show have been strong, according to WrestleTix. They had sold 8,816 for a setup of 11,991 before Punk was advertised. Five days later, they had sold 1,560 tickets, with a total of 10,376 distributed.

WWE had sold an additional 1,581 tickets as of December 21. According to the report, another 939 tickets were sold on Thursday for a total of 12,896, with 797 remaining for a setup of 13,693.
