On January 21, Pestock filed for the term “Bishop Dyer” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), indicating plans for its use in entertainment and merchandise.
The application, submitted through attorney Michael E. Dockins, covers a range of entertainment and merchandise purposes. The trademark includes provisions for:

“Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Shirts; Hats; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”
Pestock officially became a free agent on January 1, 2025, after WWE opted not to renew his contract. Since his departure, there has been significant speculation about his next move. Fightful Select previously reported that NJPW has expressed interest in bringing him on board. While contact has been made between Pestock and NJPW, the depth of those talks remains unclear.
Pestock recently made his first in-ring appearance since leaving WWE, competing against Josh Barnett in a Bloodsport match at The People vs. GCW. This match has further fueled speculation about his future, with fans and insiders eager to see how his Bishop Dyer persona develops in the world of wrestling and entertainment.
