Fans appreciate Roman Reigns and The Usos for acknowledging their Anoa’i family roots on WWE television over the past few years. In 2010, The Usos made their debut as heels. Later, they were booked as babyfaces and enjoyed great success.

In September 2016, Jimmy and Jey Uso underwent a noticeable change in appearance and turned heel for the first time in five years. They achieved this by removing their face paint, which resembled Roman Reigns.

On the After The Bell podcast, Jey Uso asserted that WWE executives had told him and his brother they were looking like “The Head Of The Table” too much.

Jey said, “Obviously, for the heel change, we needed to change everything, but they were saying when they had first seen us working in all black, it was like, ‘You guys look too much like Roman. Don’t look like Roman.’ Man, who the hell else are we supposed to look like? We’re in the same gene pool, uce.”
