This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) showed backstage footage of CM Punk’s altercation with Jack Perry from AEW All In 2023.
The video, which had no audio, showed Punk approaching Perry and the two speaking for a few seconds. Punk attacked Perry, and the situation quickly dissipated.
Perry faced Shota Umino at the Windy City Riot event hosted by New Japan Pro Wrestling on Friday night. Perry mocked Punk by wearing a ring jacket with the phrase “cry me a river” written on it. Perry used Punk’s “go to sleep” taunt before attempting a GTS, which Umino successfully countered.
Umino eventually pinned Perry to win the match.
