NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) recently announced that Tetsuya Naito will take on Hiromu Takahashi at their Wrestle Kingdom 19 PPV event on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the legendary Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
The matchup was made after Naito and Takahashi won the World Tag League finals during the promotion’s recent show in Kumamoto, Japan. Naito challenged his partner, Takahashi, to face him in a one-on-one match. They were supposed to face each other at the NJPW 48th Anniversary event in March 2020, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
