Former WWE star and pro wrestling veteran Stevie Richards shared a video on his official YouTube channel, where he talked about a number of topics including how he almost wrestled top WWE star CM Punk to sixty-minute draws in Ring of Honor.
Richards said, “I got a lot of dealings with Punk, in a good way. When Punk was in ROH, I went there, and it was in Connecticut when I was still coming back from my face being destroyed from Chris Masters. I came in, [Punk] threw the Polish hammer and me, I ducked, hit him with the kick. We were supposed to have a two out of three fall series, not one match, but, and I was going to do two 60-minute draws with him, because I wanted to see if I could do it and then he would have won the third match. We were going to work, but it didn’t happen. Then he said he wanted to go to WWE. [Tommy] Dreamer and I gave him some advice as far as, like, what to do, what it’s like up there, or anything like that. Told him, ‘You got to get into shape.’ That’s when he got into really good shape at the end of the ROH run.”
