Following this week’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network, the February 20 episode of NXT was taped at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Full spoilers are below, courtesy of PWInsider.com.
– Oba Femi (c) defeated Lexis King to retain his WWE NXT North American Championship with a pop up powerbomb. During the match, Mr. Stone made his way out to the entrance stage and at one point, King went to the floor and took Mr. Stone out before Femi was able to get the win. Mr. Stone laid near the entrance as Femi posed with the championship.
– Roxanne Perez defeated Wren Sinclair following a Pop Rox and then a Crossface to get the submission win.
– Josh Briggs defeated Brooks Jensen following two lariats. Briggs got a bloody mouth during the match and Jensen may have cut his forehead slightly. Following the match, Briggs was hugging Jensen when on the mat and while speaking to him.
– New WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Wolf Dogs (Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker) made their way down to the ring. The Dusty Cup was also in the ring. Breakker and Corbin made some jokes on each other such as Corbin beating Breakker at No Mercy while Breakker mentioned being the one to hit a spear and winning them the tag titles. They were then interrupted by Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) who mentioned how they were owed a tag title shot from Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo which puts them in line. Nathan Frazer and Axiom then made their way out and made their case as well. Corbin told all four that it sounded like a problem between the four of them. NXT General Manager Ava then made her way out and said they will have a match between Nathan Frazer and Axiom vs. Andre Chase and Duke Hudson to determine the #1 contenders.
– Jacy Jayne defeated Arianna Grace with a discus forearm. Jayne encouraged Hail and Jazmyn Nyx at one point to attack Grace when on the floor. Hail was hesitant to do it. When Grace ended up on the floor again, Nyx hit Grace while the referee wasn’t looking and rolled Grace back in the ring where Jayne hit a forearm to get the win. Jayne and Nyx had their arms around each other in the ring while Hail was off to the side looking displeased.
– Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) defeated Nathan Frazer and Axiom to become the #1 contenders to the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles. Chase got the pin on Frazer following a series of pinfall exchanges before Chase trapped Frazer in a pinfall for the win. After the match as Axiom and Frazer and Chase U were interacting in the ring, The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) made their way down to the ring and laid out all four men as well as Riley Osborne. The two then posed in the ring before going to the back.
– Lash Legend defeated Kelani Jordan. Jordan was going for her split legged moonsault on Legend when Jackson jumped on the ring apron to cause a distraction. Legend took advantage and got the pin following her powerbomb variation. Kiana James and Izzi Dame then made their way down to the ring with intent to hurt Jordan. Jordan was able to escape the ring from the two of them.
– WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Shotzi for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship had to be stopped a few minutes into the match. Valkyria was draped across the middle rope facing toward the entrance. Shotzi went over the top ropes to slam Valkyria’s face into the apron and appeared to hurt her knee when she landed on the floor. Shotzi had to be helped to the back and seemed in a lot of pain. A few minutes went by with Valkryria and the referee still in the ring. NXT General Manager Ava then made her way out and said that Shotzi is not medically cleared to continue to compete. Ava then announced an open challenge for who gets to challenge Valkyria and Lash Legend comes to the ring.
– Lyra Valkyria (c) defeated Lash Legend to retain her WWE NXT Women’s Championshio following a top rope splash.
