Tonight’s episode of raw from WWE will feature a number of matches and segments that have already been confirmed by the company, including the official RAW debut of Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER after he was selected from SmackDown during the Draft.
To decide who will compete against GUNTHER for the championship at the upcoming Night of Champions event, a battle royal will also be held. WWE has not yet officially announced the match’s participants as of this writing.
After making a comeback to in-ring action over the weekend by working with GUNTHER, there has been speculation that another WWE star may win the match to earn the opportunity for the title match, but that is not the case.
GUNTHER will defend the Intercontinental Title against Mustafa Ali at the upcoming PLE, according to Twitter insider @BoozerRasslin.
The account added that WWE would also confirm the first match in the expected string of matches between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus for Night of Champions.
