The cat may be out of the bag regarding Tony Khan’s “big announcement” scheduled for tonight.
Ahead of this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ., reports have surfaced online possibly spoiling the “big announcement” that the company has been hyping all week long.
There have been rumors that the announcement from the AEW President could involve the signing of Mercedes Mone, or possibly NJPW legend Kazuchika Okada.
The belief is it will be the former, as opposed to the latter, and that the announcement, much like CM Punk’s past AEW debut, will first be announced as AEW coming to Boston, the hometown of Mone, for an episode of Dynamite where she will ultimately make her first appearance for the promotion.
On Wednesday, the TD Garden out of Boston, Massachusetts may have spoiled Tony Khan’s “big announcement” for tonight, as they have released promotional materials this week regarding AEW Dynamite coming to the venue on March 13, with tickets for the show going on sale starting this Friday, February 9.
