Fans have been following the highly acclaimed Bloodline storyline for the past few months, which resulted in Sami Zayn joining the faction only to turn on Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble when he refused to continue attacking his close friend Kevin Owens and hit Reigns with a chair.

As a result, at the Elimination Chamber PLE, Reigns defeated Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal title, only for Owens to team up with Zayn again. Zayn and Owens defeated The Usos to win the Undisputed Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Reigns unexpectedly retained his title against Cody Rhodes in the main event the following night.

Zayn and Jey Uso will face off in a singles match on tonight’s SmackDown episode.

While anything is possible, the WRKD Wrestling Twitter account notes that while Reigns is not scheduled to appear on tonight’s SmackDown, WWE will escalate the tension between Paul Heyman and Jey once more.

WRKD Wrestling stated, “Please keep in mind that things are currently volatile and things can change on a whim: Currently, Roman Reigns is not scheduled for #Smackdown tomorrow night, but there is slated to be a segment that leads to further tension between Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.”

The SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is scheduled to appear on tonight’s show, Triple H will address the crowd, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar will compete against Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest, and Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) will face off against The Brawling Brutes. (Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch).
