Shelton Benjamin is the latest name released by WWE today as part of ongoing budget cuts.
Benjamin hasn’t appeared on television much since the breakup of the Hurt Business last year. There had been rumors of a new faction, possibly led by Benjamin, but that does not appear to be the case.
Shelton Benjamin issued a brief statement via Twitter/X:
“I have been released from my wwe contract. I thank @wwe staff, talent, and of course the fans for Everything. Something ends, something new Begins. Looking forward to my next Chapter.”
