Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, has officially announced her departure from All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The former AEW Women’s World Champion broke the news during a recent episode of her podcast, Rulebreakers With Saraya.

Saraya joined AEW in 2022 after WWE, under the Vince McMahon regime, opted not to renew her contract. Though she later held talks with Triple H about a possible return, she ultimately chose to sign with AEW.

During her time with the promotion, Saraya competed in 27 matches, with her most recent bout taking place in October 2024. While her AEW run featured alliances with top talent like Toni Storm, Ruby Soho, and Harley Cameron, some fans were critical of her booking and creative direction.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Saraya addressed the criticism and reflected positively on her AEW tenure:

“I’m really happy I got the stories that I got because I got to hang with wonderful women, and I got to help Toni [Storm] in a way at the beginning. I got to hang with Ruby [Soho]. I got to be with Harley [Cameron]. She’s such a big superstar.”

She acknowledged that not everyone was thrilled with how she was used on-screen but emphasized that her backstage experience was overwhelmingly positive:

“Even if not everyone was happy with the way storylines were or how I was portrayed, I had a great time. I had a great time behind the scenes. I was having fun.”

As for what’s next, Saraya made it clear this is not the end of her wrestling career:

“This isn’t the end of my wrestling career. Maybe I’ll do something down the line that everyone will be proud of and love. I want everyone to know I had a good time. If you didn’t like what I was doing, that’s perfectly fine. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion. Even I, sometimes, was like, ‘I wish we could be doing XYZ,’ but I was having a great time behind the scenes.”

With her AEW chapter now closed, fans will be watching closely to see where Saraya appears next—whether it’s a return to WWE, a new opportunity elsewhere, or another surprise move in her ever-evolving journey.
