Not many have heard from CM Punk following his release from All Elite Wrestling.
Rob Van Dam spoke with him just days before his very public release after a second behind-the-scenes physical altercation at AEW ALL IN 2023 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
During the latest installment of his “1 of a Kind” podcast, Van Dam reflected on talking with “The Best in the World” at the Cauliflower Alley Club event where Punk won the Iron Mike Mazurki award.
“I just saw him Thursday night,” he began. “He was getting an award, and he gave a speech, and he came down and talked to me. He was in a really good mood, good vibes really.”
RVD continued, “Really seemed like [he] was really happy in the moment, felt like he was having a good time, sitting over at the other table by Mickie James … And anyway … he’ll be alright. It be interesting to see where he ends up … Who knows, but best wishes to him and everybody.”
