Roman Reigns has had an incredible run in recent years after reinventing himself as “The Tribal Chief,” where he has held the Universal Championship for a long time and has been the WWE Champion for nearly two years.

Reigns won the Universal Championship by defeating Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt in a triple-threat match at WWE Payback 2020. Last year at WrestleMania 38, Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Universal Championship with the WWE Championship, becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

He defeated Daniel Bryan, Edge, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Finn Balor, John Cena, Goldberg, Sami Zayn, Matt Riddle, and others as Universal Champion.

As the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, he has faced off against Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Zayn, Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, LA Knight, and others. His most recent title defense was at Crown Jewel against Knight.

Tonight on SmackDown, Reigns will return to WWE television to continue his program with Randy Orton. It’s a feud that’s expected to end with a match at the Royal Rumble next month.

Reigns has now been the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for over 1,200 days.
