WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events “Road Dogg” Brian James recently spoke on his podcast, “Oh You Didn’t Know,” about a variety of professional wrestling topics including having no idea that Punk was returning until he heard his music at WWE Survivor Series.
He added, “To me, it’s just more of the same awesome ever since Hunter’s been in charge of creative content. It’s just one more thing that was just like ‘you wanna be the best? This is how you do it.’ Super cool to be involved but not so involved that I’m surprised when the music hits…”
Road Dogg went on to say that business is booming and that Punk’s addition to the roster will only help. Road Dogg was critical of Punk before he returned to WWE because of their backstage interactions in 2014. Road Dogg, like the rest of the company, doesn’t appear to be bitter about what happened a decade ago.
