Ricky Starks rose through the ranks of the NWA before joining the AEW in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He joined Team Taz but eventually broke away to forge his own identity, and he now holds a prominent position in the promotion as an uppercard to main event player.
Starks, real name Richard Starks, has established himself as a ring name for action figures. On October 16, the AEW wrestler had attorney Michael Dockins file the trademark with the USPTO for the purpose of action figure toys through his company, Dream Palace. The following is the description:
“Mark For: RICKY STARKS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of action figure toys; Action figures; Action figures and accessories therefor; Toy action figures; Toy action figures and accessories therefor.”
Starks registered his name earlier this year for entertainment and merchandise purposes.
