During Monday night’s WWE RAW broadcast, Xia Li wrestled her first match on TV in months, but the referee abruptly called off the match.
LeRae was knocked out by Li’s combination knee to the face and spin kick. She was clearly groggy as she attempted to get back on her feet and continue the match. The referee checked on LeRae and then decided to call the bout off. Indi Hartwell entered the ring and checked on LeRae, while trainers also ran down to check on her.
It appeared to be a legitimate injury, but the decision to stop the match is consistent with the company’s concussion protocol. Following the commercial break, cameras showed LeRae backstage being examined by the trainer.
