Fans watching Friday’s AEW Rampage episode will not hear Jim Ross’ voice on the show’s commentary. The show was taped after Wednesday’s Dynamite.
Ross was not on the show, and the broadcast team consisted of Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Paul Wight.
According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “It’s not anything significant. Tony Khan gave Ross the week off so he could attend the Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando with his favorite University of Oklahoma vs. Florida State.”
Ross is expected to return for the show in Portland the following week.
