Paul Heyman Breaks Silence On WWE WrestleMania 41 Turn

Paul Heyman has addressed his shocking actions during WrestleMania 41 Saturday, where he played a pivotal role in helping Seth Rollins defeat both Roman Reigns and CM Punk in the main event triple threat match.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Heyman defended his controversial move, insisting he did not betray the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

“Let’s be clear about this. I didn’t betray Roman Reigns,” Heyman said emphatically. “Did I put my hands on Roman Reigns on Monday night and shove him down to the canvas in front of millions of people watching at home? I didn’t touch Roman Reigns. What did I do? I got shoved down. I got emasculated in front of the entire WWE Universe by my Tribal Chief.”

Heyman went on to explain his emotional conflict between Reigns and CM Punk, both of whom he has deep ties to.

“I was loyal to CM Punk. I brought him back after Hell in a Cell. I gave him a spotlight, a chance to redeem himself with the Tribal Chief. But Punk put me in an impossible, emotional, compromising position. It wasn’t a no-win—it was a must-lose with my Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.”

When asked about his role in Punk’s loss, including the now-infamous low blow that helped seal the finish, Heyman didn’t hold back.

“I gave the man love and affirmation. I gave him the support he needed to main event WrestleMania. That was my promise—to be in his corner. I honored my commitment,” Heyman declared. “How am I disloyal to CM Punk? Nobody is making the case against me.”

When Pat McAfee pointed out that Heyman struck Punk with a low blow, Heyman simply smiled and responded:

“Damn right I did.”

With WrestleMania 41 behind us and tensions still running high, it remains to be seen how the fallout between Punk, Reigns, and Heyman will play out on WWE television in the coming weeks.
