Oscar Nominee Gus Van Sant To Direct Hulk Hogan’s “Killing Gawker” Film

PWInsider.com reports that the “Killing Gawker” film on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will be directed by Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant and will see Ben Affleck play the role of Hogan.

Matt Damon will play the role of Peter Thiel, while the film will be written by Charles Randolph and is adapted from the book “Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue.”

Gus Van Sant earned a Best Director nomination at the 1998 Academy Awards for the film “Good Will Hunting” among eight other nominations. Van Sant’s notable directorial works also include “My Own Private Idaho,” “Drugstore Cowboy,” and “Elephant.”
