WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi has been making waves both inside and outside the ring, and his recent appearances are no exception. During a live signing event with Fanatics, Femi shared his thoughts on WrestleMania 41, including what he believes was the standout performance of the weekend.
“I went to night two [of WrestleMania 41]. It was a good, fantastic card,” Femi said. “Let’s just get this out the way — the women killed it. Bianca [Belair], Rhea [Ripley], IYO [SKY] — that to me was match of the weekend. I don’t care what anybody says. That was my match of the weekend.”
The rising NXT star also appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, where he touched on another hot topic — the possibility of facing Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena before the legendary Superstar hangs up his boots for good.
“I wish. I wish,” Femi admitted. “But he’s in the twilight of his career. He’s winding down, I’m just getting started. I don’t know if our paths are going to cross in that fashion, I hope it does, but I don’t think so.”
Femi’s humility, passion, and respect for the business continue to shine through as he carves his path in WWE. Whether or not a dream match with Cena becomes reality, it’s clear Oba Femi is just getting started.
