NJPW star El Desperado revealed on YouTube that he will be taking a leave of absence from the ring to undergo surgery to repair a media meniscus injury that has affected him for the past 6 months.
Desperado, who dropped the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title to DOUKI, also stated that with the G1 CLIMAX taking center stage on NJPW events, everything aligned for him to be able to take some time away from the ring.
