According to Fightful Select, NJPW wanted to secure additional AEW talent for their Wrestle Dynasty event on Sunday, January 5th. However, they were unable to do so because they were already booked for the Collision taping on Saturday, which would have made the trip impossible.
There is no word yet on which talents NJPW wanted, but updates will be provided once they become available.
