Bullet Club (Strong Openweight Champion Kenta & Chase Owens) vs. NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion Ren Narita & Oskar Leube
Chase Owens chop blocks the back of Oskar Leube’s left leg and Bullet Club works him over. Ren Narita finally makes the hot tag and battled Kenta. Owens hits Leube with C Trigger gets the win.

TMDK (Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr & Kosei Fujita) vs. NEVER Openweight Champion Tama Tonga & Shota Umino
Zack Sabre Jr & Shota Umino kicks this match off with some reversals then Kosei Fujita hits a belly 2 belly suplex on Umino then ZSJ got back in and worked over Umino’s left arm.
Tama Tonga enters to face Fujita and Tonga hits a clothesline and ripped off his vest. Tonga applied a Sharpshooter, drags Fujita to the center of the ring but Fujita eventually reached the ropes. Fujita got a backslide for a near fall on Tonga before he nails Gun Stun for the win.

House Of Torture (Sho & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Just 4 Guys (Taka Michinoku & Taichi)
House Of Torture & Just 4 Guys brawl at the bell then House Of Torture took turns beating up Taka Michinoku. Taichi made the hot tag and beat up House Of Torture. Sho hit a spear. Michinoku enters and put Yujiro Takahashi in the Just Tap Out but Sho made the save. Takahashi nails Pimp Juice on Michinoku for the win.

6 Man Tag Team Match
United Empire (Aaron Henare,Great O Khan & Kyle Fletcher) vs. Bullet Club (El Phantasmo,David Finlay & Gedo)
Aaron Henare & Gedo starts this match off and Henare hit some punches to the gut and Gedo immediately calls for a timeout. Henare locks in Ultima but El Phantasmo & David Finlay made the save and Bullet Club all stalled on the floor. ELP & Kyle Fletcher squared off and traded roll ups for near falls.
Finlay beat up Fletcher on the floor, then in the ring. Fletcher finally hit a suplex and made the hot tag to Great O Khan. O Khan hit a gutwrench suplex on Finlay for a near fall, and he applied an Anaconda Vice on the mat but Finlay reached the ropes. Finlay nails a backbreaker over his knee. Gedo tags in to fight O Khan. O Khan locks in Sheep Killer and Gedo taps out.
Winners By Submission: United Empire (11:06)

10 Man Tag Team Match
Chaos (IWGP Tag Team Champions Hirooki Goto & Yoshi Hashi,Lio Rush,Yoh & Tomohiro Ishii) vs. Los Ingobnrables De Japon (KOPW 2023 Champion Shingo Takagi,Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi,Sanada,Bushi & Tetsuya Naito)
Shingo Takagi & Tomohiro Ishii opened and immediately traded forearm shots. Sanada tied Yoshi Hashi in the Paradise Lock and kicks his butt to break the hold. Yoshi Hashi hits a suplex on Tetsuya Naito. Lio Rush & Hiromu Takahashi enters and traded fast reversals with Rush hitting a pair of dives between the ropes. In the ring Takahashi hits a pop up powerbomb.
Bushi enters then Rush hits a handspring back elbow and he tags in Yoh. Yoh hits a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a near fall on Bushi. Takagi tags in in & Ishii got back in so they could go back to trading shoulder tackles. Rush hit a spin kick on Takagi’s head, allowing Yoh to get a Falcon Arrow for a near fall on Takagi. Bushi nails a dive to the floor. Takagi nails Yoh with Pumping Bomber to get the win for LIJ.

2nd Round Match Of The 2023 New Japan Cup
Evil vs. Jeff Cobb
Dick Togo reached into the ring and grabs Jeff Cobb’s ankle, allowing Evil to attack at the bell. Cobb took control early on, hitting a nice delayed vertical suplex for a near fall and he surfed on Evil’s back & he drags Togo in the ring and surfed on both of them. They brawled to the floor, where Evil shoves Cobb back first into the guardrail. Evil puts a chair over Cobb’s head and hit it with another chair.
In the ring Evil chokes Cobb with a t shirt and was in charge. Cobb hit a kick to the head and a dropkick. Cobb hit a running powerslam for a near fall. Evil hit a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Evil hits Darkness Falls for a near fall, and they were both down. Cobb fired back with Spin Cycle. Cobb slams Evil off the 2nd rope and got a near fall.
The ref got bumped, and Dick Togo immediately hops in to help but Cobb hit a Magic Killer then a standing moonsault for a near fall. Cobb set up for the Tour Of The Islands but Evil escaped. Evil grabs the ref, and the ref slaps Evil allowing Cobb to hit a German suplex. Cobb blocked an Everything Is Evil attempt.
The ref got bumped again, and Togo choked Cobb until Kyle Fletcher & Aaron Henare made the save, and they carried Togo to the back. Evil put handcuffs on Great O Khan. House Of Torture suddenly got in the ring to attack Cobb, and they put their boots to Cobb.
Togo hits a low blow and Sho hits Cobb with his wrench, and Yujiro Takahashi hits Cobb with his walking stick then Evil nails Everything Is Evil for the win.

2nd Round Match Of The 2023 New Japan Cup
Mark Davis vs. Will Ospreay
Mark Davis & Will Ospreay get this match started with a knuckle lock and traded offense then Ospreay hits some chops but Davis fired back with one that drops Ospreay. Davis clotheslined Ospreay to the floor. Davis dropped him throat first on the guard rail and hit some knee lifts to the chest before Davis wraps Ospreay in the floor padding and hit a senton on him.
Back in the ring Davis was in control as he cranked on Ospreay’s left arm and shoulder. Davis hit another senton and a series of chops in the corner. Ospreay fired back with an enzuigiri and a handspring back enzuigiri, and they were both down. Ospreay hit a springboard flying forearm for a near fall, and he hit a hard kick to the back of the left leg, then a dragon screw leg whip. Ospreay immediately put him in the Figure 4 but Davis reached the ropes.
Ospreay hit a dropkick on the knee and Davis shrieked in pain. Ospreay went back to the Figure 4. Davis hits a springboard forearm as Ospreay was straddling the top rope. Davis nailed a top rope superplex for a near fall. They got up and traded forearms, and Ospreay hit a series of kicks to the left knee. Ospreay nailed a top rope forearm to the back of the head. he charged at Davis but Davis drops him with a clothesline and they were both down. Ospreay nailed a crucifix takedown for a near fall then a springboard OsCutter for a near fall.
Davis avoids a Hidden Blade and he nailed an enziguri, and they were both down. They fought on the ropes in the corner, and Davis hit a clothesline that sent them both to the mat. Davis nailed a decapitating clothesline for a near fall. Davis yanks Ospreay into his arms and hits a piledriver for a near fall. Ospreay hits a butterfly powerbomb for a near fall, and Davis was stumbling. Ospreay immediately hit the Hidden Blade scores the win.

After the match Ospreay got on the mic and said a few words in Japanese. In English, he said the United Empire is the strongest faction in wrestling today but we must win the New Japan Cup. He addressed his Quarter Final opponent Evil saying he will take him down.
