Will CM Punk ever return to WWE?
WWE President Nick Khan broached the subject on Tuesday and the answer still isn’t much clearer.
The WWE executive spoke with Marc Raimondi of ESPN following the merger of WWE and UFC as TKO Holdings, which officially started today.
During the discussion, Khan was asked about the possibility of Punk returning to WWE now that he has been released from AEW due to a second backstage altercation.
“Listen, we only have respect for Phil,” Khan responded. “We appreciate his run here.”
Khan continued, “We appreciate what he did and tried to do with the UFC. Not many people can actually get in there and do what he did. So, when we have respect for Phil, we wish him nothing but the best.”
I asked WWE president Nick Khan today whether or not WWE would be interested in bringing back CM Punk following his firing from AEW.
