Nick Jackson Responds To Criticism About His AEW Full Gear 2023 Match

AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view event from Los Angeles, California, at the Kia Forum, is just days away, and several matches have already been confirmed. However, one fan has questioned the build for one of the bouts on the schedule.

AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF will face Jay White, AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida will face Toni Storm, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne will face Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy will face Jon Moxley, and ROH Tag Team Champion MJF and a mystery partner will face The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn).

A fan on Instagram criticized the build for The Young Bucks vs. The Golden Jets (Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega), claiming that Nick & Matt Jackson are upset that Omega has been teaming with Jericho of late rather than focusing on their trios pairing. This has resulted in a friendly rivalry at the upcoming pay-per-view event. The fan does not believe that this type of storyline would make someone pay to see such a match.

Nick wrote, “A friendly competition with Kenny. No break ups. Just good wrestling. But jericho…” A fan commented, “Nick um, a friendly contest doesn’t normally drive someone to spend 50$ on a PPV.”

As seen below, Nick replied with, “@matthafer not being on the show was the other option.” It should be noted that the winner of the match receives an AEW Tag Team title shot, but Golden Jets must split if they lose.
