There is currently talk that this year’s Wrestlemania could be the longest event in WWE history. Alfred Konuwa of Forbes noted the following regarding the amount of matches for the show:
“Employee morale has also played a role in Wrestlemania’s ‘all hands on deck’ feel as WWE looks to fit as many Superstars on the card as possible. With the forthcoming launch of AEW, employee morale is as important as it has ever been.”

Heard from a source that there’s a push backstage to “control the match count” for WrestleMania.
However, source says as of now it could be as high as 17 total matches. SEVENTEEN.
