According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, it was Tony Khan’s idea to do the storyline where Chris Jericho attempted to recruit Jon Moxley for the Inner Circle faction. The car used reportedly belongs to Tony’s father Shahid.
Khan is said to be the “driving force behind the creative direction” and he reportedly watched old footage of WCW Nitro during the company’s peak years to see what was successful and implement it into the launch of AEW.
It’s being said that Khan sees Jungle Boy and Scorpio Sky as long-term prospects for AEW.
Similar to Vince McMahon, Khan is said to have the final say with storylines and he is very hands-on with the product.
Johnson also noted the following:
“At last night’s taping, Khan was intimately involved in laying out the Jericho-Moxley segment that closed Dynamite, the ongoing Kenny Omega & Adam Page storyline as well as their tag bout with Private Party, The Best Friends vs. Jurassic Express six man tag team bout and The Rhodes Brothers vs. The Lucha Brothers.”
